Rachel & David Buerer
Rachel and David have known each other for more than 40 years, but have been partnering together for the last 9 years. Together they bring a passion for people, progress, community, and performance. They have four kids ranging in ages from 27 to 14 with the two youngest at home. They live in Gladstone, OR, a suburb of SE Portland.
The RAVID team has historically focused on single-family properties yielding in excess of 30% returns on their most recent investments, however, their passion is developing sustainable communities while acting as operators in syndicated multi-family investments. Rachel & David have pulled together a team of like-minded individuals with over 15 years of experience in multi-family rehabilitation to branch out on this venture.
All about Rachel
Rachel Buerer is a wife, mother, and business woman. She graduated from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and is a Certified Asset Manager. She has worked in the fields of property and casualty, and life and health insurance, small-business development, office management, and real estate as a salesperson and as an investor. She also has a passion for working with people. She worked inside and outside of schools with teens. She ran healthy-choice groups, taught drug-abuse prevention education, organized healthy enrichment activities, and planned professional-speaker events for teens and for the community. After she became a mother, she studied Process Coaching and Family Systems Constellations and works with adults in these and other healing modalities. In 2015 she started dating, and has since married, the love of her life, David Buerer. Together they have faced and overcome many challenges and are both driven to succeed. They have partnered together to create a lucrative business, buying and managing apartments that need improvements and to bring community and amenities to the residents that live there. Through this they can improve the value of the property and the area the property is located, the lives of the people who live there, increase employment and improve the work environment for property employees, and the people who choose to invest in these opportunities receive favorable returns. Rachel is a phenomenal Asset Manager, working with Property Management teams in execution of the business plan while being mindful of the interests of our investors.
All about David
David Buerer was the kid that loved to take things apart to see how they worked. He wrote his first computer program in second grade. He has always been a go getter who is not afraid of a challenge. He started his career in drafting controls, rigging, and drapery systems in the theatrical lighting industry and has now worked in commercial lighting controls for the last 23 years at Leviton Manufacturing as Director of Product Management. David also hosts and creates websites and has volunteered for many charities including Kings for Kids, a charity that raises money to fund summer camps for foster children. David is a loving father and husband, and loves to cook and go camping. He is always learning new things and loves to take on large projects. David’s on fire for multifamily real estate and focuses on the acquisition side of the business - finding deals, evaluating opportunities, and together with Rachel completing due diligence and the close.
